I am not backpedaling just trying to put things in the context they likely started. At one time in the US black people were *igger* too. So what is offensive changes as more freedoms to more people get incorporated into the culture. So it the future religious connotations during the Holidays will continue to get restrictions such that all people's feelings are recognized versus slighted.
