So Intel dominated mobile in (at least first half) 2001, AMD makes huge strides in 2002. Intel comes back with Banias in 2003 and takes some mobile share back. Maybe 2004 is time for mobile Hammer...

Time well tell, but it could be anything from awesome to a total fiasco. All we really know is that it builds on the P6, but completely reworked and with a bunch of stuff integrated. Will this limit clock speed? Will it hurt yields? Has performance been sacrificed too much for the sake of [lower] power consumption?

If only we'd gotten a chance to see Timna in action, we might have an idea of what Intel's Israel team is capable of.
