Why not ? Last I checked the PBX replacement market makes the router market look pretty insignificant. We are talking 200 billion at least to replace the legacy phone
switches , not to menttion all the services business that
this would generate. Listen we could argue about this till
the cows come home and I couldn't change your mind and you
couldn't change mine. Time will tell who is right.

Thanks
Anindo

Vic, I wonder why IBM is investing $1 billion in Linux OS?
I have no position in any company other than IBM who promotes Linux. Well, that's not quite true... I almost forgot Nokia, but that's a Finnish thing.
>IBM is investing more than $11 billion a year in research and development, and plants and equipment to build up such information utilities, from which companies can lease computing resources.

Included in that total is $1 billion that IBM is investing to support the Linux operating system, which is open source--that is, available to all to tap into at no cost or restriction, unlike Microsoft Corp.'s proprietary Windows operating system, which imposes costs and restrictions.
