just how much longer can Greenspan postpone the kind of reckoning that hit in1930 3 weeks. Within that time it will dawn on the White House this game will end before midterm elections, so it is in their interest to have the big tank happen ASAP after New Years. Ok, ok, I made it all up and I'm actually basing this on the swelling inventories at Dell...

T, I know that I have been very satisfied by choosing my identity as a quadrasexual. In case you are unenlightened, that is somebody who will do anything for a quarter. <g> Actually, I think the women's locker rooms might be a big disappointment. There are some things we shouldn't know about. After all, the brain is our strongest erogenous zone and a little mystique helps. And, afterwards, some Mystique Pizza. <g> I have been wrong on this timing thing so long that I am loath to voice an opinion. All I've got to say is that even with zero interest rates, retail sales suck. And I never thought I'd worry about the trade deficit going down, but it is sure scary now that it is. I am still on the fence about whether we get an inflationary or deflationary depression. The odds before 9/11 greatly favored inflationary. Now it's a coin flip.
