They have been starving and dying for years. For the first time they have a hope for a future thanks to our military. Smiles are replacing burkhas and kites can fly. The Afghanistan people are ecstatic with our military being there. A story came out today about the marines arranging for food, boots, and clothing etc. to help these people. What the hell have you done ? The truth is you liberals talk like your all mother Theresas, but in reality you are rich,pampered, spoiled and would never give up anything to help others especially if it meant forgoing a latte at Starbucks. The truth is the most liberal areas in the county give the least in charity while the poorest areas gives the most and that is the Christian Bible Belt.

If you do well then I can understand your inability to understand your former friend and what he said to you. If you no longer hold that stupid opinion then if you were that stupid in the first place maybe you should ask your former friend to explain his position again. Sounds like you pick lousy friends. The current Republican administration is doing more for these woman and children than ANY other entity in the world, EVER. I suggest you look to that (if you care about these people) instead of to your weird friend. Just a thought.

Karen, take a look at these photo's from Afghanistan yesterday. In the first dozen or so pictures, our marines prepare for battle and do us proud. In the second half dozen pictures, our sailors work hard getting airplanes ready for their next mission. And lastly, the last dozen or so pictures show peace coming to this war torn nation, and food for the many hungry Afghans being distributed. freerepublic.com Our war effort has helped the starving Afghan population. They were starving because a band of ruthless dictators controlled the nation. A marxist regime hell-bent on destroying their civilization and creating a slave state toward women. Shortly, America will put that bleak chapter of their history to rest. And their nation can begin to rebuild its infrastructure, educate its women, and especially feed its hungry citizens. A just war has many positive benefits in the end. We are just now catching the first few glimpses of that now.
