*OT* >>Ellsworth is a big B1 base. Possibly all the B1's came from there. <<

Negative ghost rider, the pattern is full. -ggg-

I am stationed at Mountain Home and we are the lead unit for that location. We took our planes first and then had to borrow from Ellsworth to have enough to do the mission required. ( Public information already released)

Once our rotation is up, Ellsworth or Dyess will take over and have their turn.

No favoritism, we just happened to be on call at the time that things heated up. We all take turns being on call for multi month periods of time. Also, FWIW, Dyess has more B-1s than anyone.

This summer, our unit will disband leaving only Ellsworth and Dyess with B-1s. I am scared to death I will end up back at Ellsworth. Nice country in the summer but the wind and snow there are horrible and I have seen towns bigger than Rapid City. Not a good place to be trying to find work after retirement. SCI is the only major company out there not having to so with black hills gold or tourism. Worst yet, SCI was bought out by SANM thus who knows if it will even stay open.

Good Luck,

Lee
