I did an eyeball calculation and BMY sold 165K since 10/2. And if anything the price is a few cents higher. This is pretty much what they did last year. I assume this is year-end tax loss selling. It must be worth more to them than the investment. If it is tax loss for them, they realize the benefit now, as opposed to waiting for this investment to pay off. The significant thing to me is the fact that the stock hasn't tanked under these sales -- somebody is buying. I sure would like to know who. I would feel better knowing my theory is right and thus the sale is not really a vote of no-confidence, but rather represents a tangible benefit to them now. I don't know what BMY paid for their shares, but I'm assuming it significantly more than current price.

Any accountants out there?
