victor, i chalk it up to a one in a couple million chance event since he's never said anything else approaching a recognizable word. unreal, though. as i was leaving for work today i pointed to me and said, "booooy" and then pointed to mom and said "girrrrrrrl." he did smile big and laughed at that, though... ;-) the one characteristic i notice in jr is that he is determined. 3 or 4 times we've been watching tv when it shuts off or the channel changes. come hell or high water, he's gettin' a piece of that remote even though we try to keep it from him! ;-) he sees us stand and he's determined to stand on his own - even if he falls on his butt repeatedly... his no hands "surfer" pose is classic :-) i agree, they are really fun at this age.
