Came back home just now and the connection was dead again, requiring a reboot. Color me extremely unimpressed right now. Not having to reboot is a very big deal to me. There's little benefit to having tons of memory (1.5 gig in this case) for caching if the cache is usually empty because of reboots.

As soon as I get this acting more stable, I plan to check into having a concurrent dialup connection for things like games where the latency makes it impossible to use them. It appears I can't have ICS available on two different devices (in the same machine) at the same time, though, so I may have to move the modem back to my workstation.

No idea how Windoze will handle two available ICS connections. The client machines don't ask which one to use. They just grab whichever one the host machine is making available. Should be interesting to see what happens if two different machines are advertising themselves as hosts.
