Well, sometimes they are successful in propping the market up, sometimes they aren't (like September). In the end, things tend to end up where they should have. It just may take longer and more lives will be wrecked along the way.

That seems to be the Wall Street way. If we understand that, we can sometimes avoid being run over by the MMack truck.

Daily segment i would love see appear on CNBC...

i suspect cnbc is permanently lost in cartoon network heaven. we need a new, adult financial show. regulars would include flek, cliggot, grant, mulunivich and jerry ryan as the resident 'money honey'. for the wise greybeards: seidman and cashen.

the daily essay will be a random draft selection from si. if your name comes up you have to present. the producer will buy your lunch.

zeev will produce.
