Anti-Terrorism Efforts and the Market: Interesting that the highs occurred intraday on Thurs, very close in time to the surrender announcement re Kandahar. Around that time the previously unambiguously positive environment started getting muddied. Factionalism in Afghanistan that we can't control. Israel attacking Arafat and his police because of Palestinian terrorist attacks. It appears we're back to an environment where our military might is of more limited value. There's no obvious connection to our stock market, but it seems that the mood re outside political and military events is "bleeding through" to our financial markets.
