The only thing the IIA numbers suggest to me is to look for distribution in the indices or price and volume confirmation of lows when we hit extremes. I think it's doubtful that we saw an extreme last week at 48/23 and I question the collection of distribution days within a meaningful window.

I don't have any comment or notion about what the short term swings in IIA numbers may mean about short term direction. It is, like the VIX and RYDEX, for me anyway, an intermediate term market turn tool. That's all. Sorry I can't help in the time frame you are asking about.
