I think bia, OKA <g> is really seeking to complement Scott as she remembers that Bill Gates and Peter Jennings are in the same illustrious company, college non-graduates.

moenmac: I would like to apologize to you and any...

...others I offended with my post to which you are responding.

Who, in real life, were not fortunate enough or willing enough to acquire college education. i.e. working/part-time night school, like.

Hell, many 'make it' without 'college.' But you know as well as I do how not having that 'piece of paper' restricts opportunity.

I'm sorry that I appear to be 'elitist' ... in terms of education, I guess I am, though ....

Best to ya, now,

bia

In the context of this dialog the expression is meant to be a personal insult and does as you note show the elitist attitude of bonehead. The questioning of anyones education at any level is an insult. Using high school as the level is an elitist insult. But bonehead is bonehead and it appears Texas owns this one big bonehead.

But boneheads walk around with the feet in their mouth or their heads up their butt.

"I have only a high school education and I would like to know why you consider b's question an insult?"

I don't consider the level of education to be the insult. I do consider a sarcastic remark (that questions my education) in response to my comments regarding an article bia posted to be an insult. Maybe I'm too sensitive. Feel free to go back and see for yourself.
