I don't see SSTI as a competitor. If anything their products are complimentary with relatively little overlap. SSTI does not have the capacity at present to manufacture ultra-high density flash. Most of their products are 4 Mbit density or below. Some of there higher margin products are 1 Mbit or below, if you can believe it.

Aus, thanks for your comments. I think AMD is in the group of competitors as well since they manu. the high density flash as well. The reason I continue to bring AMD up is because of their repeated claims of significant overcapacity in their portion of the flash business. That's another reason why I surprised that SNDK was starting to ramp. And that's not to say that increased sales of digital cameras, dvds etc aren't making a dent.....however, I understand that the flash sector in general has nearly the same amount of overcapacity as telecom. It would be good to see some plant utilization numbers. FWIW.
