why such generous forecasts? by then the analysts may even have a clue that this isnt your fathers recession (its your grandfathers)

Let's take INTC, I expect it to peak at around $50/share later next year, by then forecasters are going to have some $34 B in sales for 2003 with $1.5 to $2/share "forecasted" earnings, thus a 25 PE for the then 12 months forward, the market may not look at that as excessive relative to historical ratios. It is actually going to be well within the very long term scenario of contracting PE's.

Zeev, So you are saying it is a buy right now. That is a big under 1 year return. If more and more people think like this, the stock could approach those levels much sooner than that.
.....so you are implying it is at the very least a buy for longer term "investors" in your opinion.

btw--it has been my largest core longer term holding for a while now. I would thrilled even if it gets to only 40.
