I was in the market for a beachside property in Tenerife 18 mths ago and was looking at £80,000 (about $112,000) for a 3 bed apt. The price has since doubled.

Heard on radio that Manhattan townhouses in the $10 M range are still selling within 10% of the asking price since 9/11. Agents see that as very bullish sign considering the current situation in NY.
I heard of similar asset appreciation in European show horses from one of my customers who imports them into US. He says sales are up so much there is not enough space to quarantine them in US without a 3 month backlog.
