In the course of this, they somehow promote Carlyle as an investment group. Carlyle has a diversified portfolio, including everything from Dr. Pepper to defense contractors, and a rate of return that, in the last bull market, was robust but not spectacular (there were mutual funds making nearly 50 %, and S&P no- loads were doing better than 25%.) Somehow we are supposed to infer something nefarious........
