" It was determined 30 years ago that this approach will not stop a determined enemy who can overwhelm the system" I would guess that 30 years before we went to the moon that it was determenied that could not be done either. Can't fault your logic here because there is none. Unless that is you know what our capabilites and our enemies in 30 years from now. I doubt that seriously btw.
