One of the smartest engineers I know is my best friend. He never graduated college and builds houses for a living.

The guy can visualize and draw what most minds cannot comprehend. He can then put that vision together in a structurally sound way which meets all code requirements instantly.

He also juggles 20 homes at a time, understands the talent he has with a crew of 30, and can move effortlessly through the myriad of political obstacles necessary to build a large development.

I've studied and practiced project management principles for years, can draw a GANT, PERT and CPM chart blindfolded. But, I don't believe I could come close to organizing and accomplishing what he does each and every day.

His intelligence could never be measured in a classroom, or an IQ test. It's raw, and full of wisdom.
