listening to an interview last night with the man charged with introducing the Euro,i got the sense that either he was totally incompitent at PR or they dont want a strong currency: the BBC reporter lobbed him slow ball after slowball to get him to say something really positive and he steadfastly refused to do so...

The EU will have to work hard to eliminate protectionism and socialist labor problems. Other than that I think the euro could at least trade at par with USD.
