the most important sentence in that article is:

"If inflation comes down and stays down, there seems to be no basis to presume a bear market in bonds absent a crash in the dollar and withdrawal of foreign investment."

which is precisely my only fear regarding the bond market.

and i wouldn't buy any ATT bonds...although i too, am playing the 'spread'.
