WBMW, <I was thinking more along the lines of the benefit of not putting all of one's eggs in one basket.> Lot of good that did Intel so far. Grove and Barrett are on the record saying that diversification made Intel lose focus. Intel is back on track now, hopefully, but you get my point. I'll bet if Sanders retires and AMD starts diversifying, they too will lose focus. Unfortunately for AMD, that mistake could be fatal, unlike Intel which is big enough to survive a mistake like that.
