Well, I may have been overly broad, since many such things are either still to be litigated or subjects of disparate legislative acts in different states. However, there are particular cases where it is likely to apply. First, if you are an observant Jew and they do not provide kosher meals, they cannot forbid you from bringing a lunch from home; second, if you are diabetic, and they do not provide a meal geared to your condition, they cannot forbid you from bringing a lunch from home; third, if the persons who bring lunch from home are mostly black, and there is a disparate impact of the rule on them, it is probable that it will be considered discriminatory, and disallowed. These are only examples, I am sure more could be discovered......
