I missed a chance to sell [AMAT Dec 45 Puts] for more than double today while I was catching up with the crises at work.

Ouch, I can relate. Maybe it's for the best that you have to hold the puts over the weekend. You never know what could happen with these crazies running around. By next Friday, though, I see them expiring right at the money, probably. Hope you get a chance to unload them Monday at a good price.

Dogpile the bastards

It would be nice if it were that easy. I doubt another highjacking is in the cards for awhile. I lived in Israel for almost a year and there is no country on earth better prepared to fight terrorists. Yet bombs go off there every day now and people get killed and maimed. Even back in '71 when attacks were much less common, it was routine to be frisked in Jerusalem on going into a movie theater. We're still a long way from that level of preparedness, but we will probably be there someday thanks to these bastards. I remember drills when I was a schoolboy, having to crouch under my desk. Never imagined my one-year old daughter would grow up in a world equally unsafe.
