yes, the big silver squeeze appears to be beginning. the question is only, is it because a hedge fund or two are squeezing the market on purpose (has happened in the past) or is the supplies issue finally coming home to roost. if neither India nor China are selling, the borrowers will be hard pressed to come up with metal to repay leases. an estimated 1 to 2 billion oz. are lent out (i know, not exactly a precise estimate, but the 1bn oz. minimum figure is already a lot obviously). verifiable inventories are below 200m. oz.

where's the metal going to come from? it may take a huge price increase to get unreported inventories to consider selling.

so yes, it could definitely be the BIG one. especially as nobody seems to be particularly concerned that that might be the case.
