I really like the Yahoo group Tom..Thats what has me burnt up about the problems it has.. I just hate the feeling that so many people are lurking on s/i and we have no idea who they are.. Not that it really matters, but just knowing that there is some sort of control over who reads our thoughts is a bit more relaxing..

Possibly we could use the yahoo club for posting after hours/longer term picks? Picks like CMTO or AVNT, stocks that arnt just earnings plays or day trades.. that involve follow up research and everyone can contribute links/opinions.. I dunno..

I noticed alot more people posting over there than here, so obviously others agree they like the privacy idea behind it..

I guess im just paranoid..

Tom, if everyone is online during the day what about setting up a mIRC room? It's free and easy to doand use.

Good morning Tom and group. I think we should try to use the strengths of both sites. Perhaps test run the Yahoo chat room during market hours the next few weeks while more people are off. Continue to use SI to post trades during market hours also. I personally am only around part time myself- I don't have a job, I'm a consultant LOL. Keeping an extra window or 2 open is easy and usually not an excessive drain on computer resources.

I like Paul's idea also of using Yahoo to post more long term picks and private or personal matters or even jokes etc.

I've seen Yahoo chat rooms and clubs used successfully in the past for group trading- many of the groups have pretty much disbanded or been decimated due to the bear market and lack of IPOs(IPOs are more my area of expertise). Obviously what's left around here are the survivors and more adept traders. Either that or we're more bullheaded with extra money to burn<g>

We could even have a Holiday party in Yahoo chat one evening- we'll just have Paul bring the refreshments and mood enhancers.
