Dave,

I like RIC, ELD.T and MAE.T as junior producers, but my real favorites are FGX.V, MFL.T, and CBD.T, which are not even close to production. Also, check out how the following responded on the last wave up... BGI.T, GBG.V, MDN.T, TNX.T.

Black Hawk Mining has a producing profitable mine in Nicaragua. BHK on TSE. Has 110,000 hectare concession in Nicaragua being explored by Newmont. Has Manantial Espejo silver project in Argentina being explored by Silver Standard. Total market cap is $14 million Cdn. A steal. bhkmining.com

<Let's have em!

Well, you asked for it, other comments can be gleaned at the stock's threads and web sites:
goldsheetlinks.com

Larger juniors:

Francisco FGX
Minefinders MFL (trades thin)
El Dorado ELD
Corner Bay BAY

Juniors with good trading markets (emerging mid tiers?):

Great Basin GBG, GBGLF on US OTC: This one looks especially intriguing now, and can be bought by US investors, which seems to be a driver in these stocks.
National Gold NGT
Geomaque GEO

Advanced stage deposits in the top quartile, thin traders use limit orders inside the spread:
Nevsun NSU: Feasibility is due early next year, could surprise like GBG (ignored so far).
Inca Pacific (copper, Peru), I've also been nibbling on CTQ in low 60's, MR is strong hold, buy below a buck.
Moydow MOY
Tenke TNK
Birim BGI
Cumberland CBD: anybody have comments on new economics at Meadowlark, Claude?
Southwestern SWG
Madison Ent MNP: "Wrecked" and orphaned in Papua NG next to the worst major in the business, PDG. Still a terrific deposit (available for free), and won't be a 7 cent stock in a gold bull market.

Favorite grassroot plays:
Golden Goliath GNG
IMA Expl. IMR
Annoraq ARQ : PGM's in SA
Anatolia YMC.u: buy dips, or good news, don't chase at this price, strong hold.

Producers:
TVX
IMG is out of preferred buy range now. Hold

Gee CD, mine have already been mentioned. I have one that's not a top pick and of course it hasn't been mentioned. Just waiting to see if anyone else thinks it's a buy at it's present price.

Otherwise my best trade ever could be a winner again.

bigcharts.marketwatch.com

I love this setting on bigcharts. Someone mentioned the rotation from seniors to mid-tier to explorers being like the tech phenomenon. The big difference here is that ALL the techies from Intel to the smallest had no history. Almost every explorer that has been mentioned in replies so far have a history that can be checked and most go back at least to 1990.

Hope this helps

Bob

"Please post your top Junior gold picks."

If you want a permanent call on gold, Nevsun (NSU) has enormous leverage to the price of gold. They have a deposit in west Africa that the market is valuing at about C$2.5/oz. This deposit is economic at US$350/oz gold. Unfortunately, NSU may have to raise some cash this year.

If you think copper has a bright future, then buy Inca Pacific (IP)

for me, and I am the dummy in this group, it is in order:

BAY
FGX
MFL
CBD

I losing my butt on CBD because I bought it way back when it was a buck 50 (Howy told me it was a good buy<g>, he was just getting even for IPM!), breaking even on MFL, kicking ass on FGX, and doing pretty good on BAY. BAY could soon be in the kick ass department if we have a couple of more days like Friday, I own a lot of it thanks to CC who "allowed" me to break the 15% rule.
