Just what we need! More students from "rogue nations" getting an American education and joining dissension groups just so that our libel universities can fatten their pockets. What are these senators thinking???

I surmise that the expectation is that the students will learn about the virtues of democracy and capitalism while here in the US, and when they go home, will be forces for change in their own countries.

I am not a liberal, at least not by my standards. I don't recall having read much of value by Dick Morris other than his criticism of the Clintons, which was of interest because he was at one time close to them. I think the piece you linked is red meat for people who have become frightened of foreigners because of 9/11.

Keeping foreign students out isn't going to keep terrorists out - they can come in on visitor's visas. Come on, it's just hysteria.

If we are that frightened of Muslims and Arabs, then why don't we start throwing them all out of the country and never let them back in for any reason?
