TEXAS: Ms. Perry Is The Breadwinner In The Perry
Household

"Almost half" of Gov. Rick Perry's (R) family income in 2000 "came from his wife's work as a consultant with a firm that represents some of the largest businesses operating in Texas, including the Phillip Morris tobacco companies" (Ratcliffe, Houston Chronicle, 12/13). Perry and his wife, Anita "reported $137,430 in income last year," with Ms. Perry earning "$66,000 as an employee of a Waco-based consulting company owned" by economist M. Ray Perryman. Businessman Tony Sanchez (D) reported earning "$6.4 million, virtually all from capital gains, interest, and dividends, and paid $852,416 in taxes" (Slater, Dallas Morning News, 12/14).

Name Of The Game
"How can a candidate with no money, no name recognition, no party backing and no political experience have a chance of winning a contested statewide primary?" Atty John Worldpeace (D) "is banking on two tactics that seem oddly incompatible: autodialed messages intended to savage his opposition and a funky name intended to convince voters to visualize Worldpeace - at least for governor." Campaign manager Dan Kerr: "Our strategy was to get his name out there."

California is a direct result of the ineptitude of the left to govern. You need to deal with that.

...aspect of this ENE atrocity is that Bush 'n boyz not only profited handsomely off their direct investments/trades on the stock, but so directly -- brazenly, crystal clearly -- to complete financial ruin of thousands of employees

Can you point to the evidence that supports this view? It seems more like speculation and innuendo, to me, than crystal clear evidence.

The California electricity situation had to do with absurd state legislation on the power industry. The legislation was supported by both the retail power companies and the Democratic party state administration. There are some true smoking guns there for anybody who wants to look (Start with Gray Davis and the head of Edison who are long time friends). Also, at the height of the crisis, it is very telling that the wholesale power provider who was charging *by far* the most for their power, was the State of California.

IMO, the reason that we had the power crisis has more to do with the lack of a national energy policy than anything that any one state government could do (or not do).

Here's a website composed by former Enron employees. It gives one the impression that Enron's worse enemy may be the testimony of their x-employees. Obviously, they aren't amused.

Methinks there will be serious trouble to come!! LOL
Californians should call the investigation, "Operation Enduring Justice."Heh Heh Heh
