GOrdon, The De-regulation Billpassed back in 1996 under Gov. Pete Wilson and backed by all Democrats and Republicans in the Legislature was flawed. One of the flaws was that it enabled companies like Enron to manipulate it's market so in a sense there was no free market. IT was only free to be manipulated by energy companies. If many Bush cabinet members were Enron investors then it's conflict of interest as clear as it gets! Why won't Cheney disclose the members of his secret Energy Commission?
