There was a time way back in 98 - 99 when the thing you were concerned about was stock performance. I don't want to question your methodology here, I just want to mention that is was results that counted, not the number of posts you were able to get to respond to you. I can't speak for the others, but the fact that your thread continues to get front page exposure on SI is truly inconsequential to me. It really is Ken. It doesn't put money in my pocket and that's what investing is all about. Money! Not accolades, kudos or expressions of appreciation. Your thread has become what you used to accuse this thread of being. A bunch of back-slapping people with no tolerance for opposing views, and an incredible sense of denial on how to define performance. Your call of a gold rally came on November 27. The HUI is only up 9% since then, and you want to call that a major move? C'mon Kenny! Let's deal with a little reality here. I called USPIX as the play of the year. It was up over 200% at one point and anyone buying in along the way was good for a 40%, 50% 80% move or better, even if they were late to the party. That's a major move Kenny! Not 9%. Your gold call may still work out to your advantage, but its got a long ways to go to be considered a major move. Wouldn't you agree? I called the exact day the NASDAQ would bottom following WTC. The significance of that call was the timing and the environment the markets were in at the time. There was panic everywhere! In the streets, in the market, in political offices, virtually everywhere. And I nailed the reversal to the day Kenny. To the day! The market then went up 48% in the next seven weeks for the best seven week performance in 20 years. And you want to call a 9% move a major move? Why should I be jealous of your 9% call when I've made the calls listed above? Any prudent thinking person would have to agree, it's you that is in denial, not me. Think about it Kenny! Slider made a nice call on the patch rally right at the low? Hell Kenny, I called the low within 3 points and did it on the day it occurred. Taking nothing away from Slider, but my call was accurate and the timing was impeccable. If Slider made an excellent call, mine must have been stupendous. Kenny, if you want to receive recognition, then you must be willing to give it. Slider's oil rally call was with 30% of his portfolio. Quehubo was fully invested and max-margined and he stated it publicly. And you want to credit Slider with the call? I think there's more recognition to go around here Kenny. I nailed the low within 3 points on the day it happened and Quehubo maximized more gains than any of us. You need to give credit where credit is due Kenny, or are you too jealous to be realistic? I'm happy that your thread is doing well. I like most of the old timers that followed you there. Their goals and mine are different and there's nothing wrong with that. Our investing styles are different as well. I'm interested in learning more on how to make calls that are accurate and timed well. I'm not interested in tying up cash for a long term hold because I refuse to admit I was wrong in my timing. Your thread doesn't assist with calls that are known for their accuracy "AND" timing, HTP is. We have several posters that have made some excellent timing calls, calls that brought more than 9% over several weeks. You wouldn't respond to my posts because you didn't have any good news to share. Sort of cowardly if you ask me, but that's just my opinion. I also notice there was no acceptance to my challenge for a stock picking contest. OK Kenny, I'll let it go. Your silence on the subject speaks loud and clear. I'm the toy clown, you're the genius. I'm the wannabe, you're the hero. I'm the one that is jealous and resentful, and you're the one growing in success and recognition. I'm also the one having a better year, and you're the one with disappointing results. I suppose we all have our own set of priorities. dabum
