Yes bullets can do some strange turns but physics says they will take the path of least resistance. When bone is involved deflection may be involved. And a forensic team did look at Browns body and the plane and the crashsite, and the radar from the airport and an AWACS plane.

I don't doubt your mercinary friends head shot story but I don't understand the mechanism involved. Why would the brain slam back together again. In the JFK head shot, the bullet entered the back of his head (his head momentarily went forward), proceeded through his brain preceeded by a shock wave which blew out the front of his head causing his head to fly backward in the opposite reaction (like a rocket). Perhaps something like that happened in your friends experiments, ie some of the shock wave was reflected backwards toward the entry hole.
