To: Lorne Larson who wrote (2224 ) 12/15/2001 11:56:58 PM From: Peter W. Panchyshyn Read Replies (1) | Respond to of 11633 I have no interest in reviewing the hundreds of posts between stan and you. ------------- The posts from the very beginning # 46 onward to # 1080 have nothing to do with Stan. (They total 10 in all) . That doesn't start till well into the next thousand. COPING OUT ON ME ARE YOU??????????????. The very first post shows my holdings from the very beginning as I said from when ERF PGF and REF first started back in 87 or so. They go on to show those that I have added to (new) since then. Can't get much more concise or clear than that. Its all there. Those first few show my base and where I have started from ------------------------- Just post the info concisely and clearly - your oil and gas trust position on May 15/01 and your position today. I'll help you out a little bit. ------------------- Want to finish up a little first here than the rest can continue tommorrow ------------------ You have stated a number of times that you have owned ERF and PGF for a number of years. ERF on May 15 was 30.60; today it is 23.93 for a drop of 22%; PGF on May 15 was 21.55, today it is 13.17 for a drop of 39%!!!. You have stated in a previous post that you had bought NCF at 18, at 16, and at 14; today it is 11.60, for a drop of 27.5% (using 16 as your cost). All along you've been telling people these things are oversold - I refer to your post of June 28. For a genius like you that's a pretty shoddy performance. ---------------- I'll go through the above in more detail tommorrow. What I will say for now is do you know the meaning of the terms realized and unrealized? When someone accumulates on weakness and doesn't sell any drop in price is unrealized and is quickly made back when prices recover. And they do recover because the records show a steady cycling of both prices and unit values. See post # 1998. Now what happens when a trader or shorter is wrong. When he makes a mistake it is realized. It can't be fixed as easily with so little effort. -------------- As for your warrants you stated in July that "there is a good chance these will provide in December conversion at a respectable spread". How "respectable" is 0, Peter?. ------------- Lets see. You focus on a one point in time forecasting.on the then current probabilities, 6 months in advance. Why not look to the ""on going"" postings of any trades made during and after that time. If there are some they are documented. With results If there are none. Then there are none. Then where is any loss??? . And guess what there are none. So there is no loss. Pure and simple. Nice try though. --------------- The argument on this site is not whether the trusts are a good or bad investment over time. They obviously are and I personally made very very nice money on them in 2000 and the first half of 2001. The question is whether you can time them. I disposed of almost all my trusts over the summer - wish I had sold them in May! I'm now starting to nibble at them again. Pretty basic analysis. If you sold PGF in the summer at $19.00 and are buying it now at $13.00, you are a lot further ahead than if you held throughout. ---------------- IF IF IF , if doesn't pay high income. IF doesn't hold if you end up waiting for it to go down to $10 before you buy again only to have the price move back upwards towards $19 again. If doesn't hold if you do not sell at $19 but wait for it to go to $25. IF means nothing in investing. It is all hindsight and hindsight is 20/20 and well after the fact. ---------------------------------------- I'm not interested in PGF. However I bought some PVE at $8.18 and will be buying more next week in order to get the January dividend. Beats buying it at $12.00 which it was at in June. I also starting buying AVN in October (post 1713) at around $7.70. Beats buying it in June at $11.80. Also going to buy some AY - hope it will get a little lower but it's a real nice looking trust and it may be that $9.75 is a good entry point. My big mistake was holding onto about half of my PWI. Not interested yet in ERF, SHN, NCF and PGF. Anyway, look forward to your May 15 positions. Should take you about 5 minutes for you to post. Not a big imposition given the amount of time you spend on this board. ------------------ Its already in the previous posting to you. Not a big imposition on you given that you don't have stans posts to deal with ( COP OUT) and you already have the reference to them. And besides there are only 10 of them I gave you to start with (they go to june 2001) . You spent more time responding with this last post of yours then it would have taken you to examine those few references I gave to you to start which go to june 2001. Of course if it is all too much to ask !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe someone else would do it for you.. Or are you going to be playing a little game with this. Much like Stan!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be all for it , it is enjoyable and it will show to all the others just how much you are interested at getting to the documented facts-------------------
