" Dissing Intel's success in the PDA/Cell Phone arena" Paul, if your meds weren't messing with your memory, you'd recall that I am a big fan of the StrongArm, I've been using it for several years now. As far as AMD competing in that segment, it is hard to see what they could do. x86 is probably too complicated of an ISA to get into those power ranges and still have good performance. To license ARM and try to do something seems pointless. I guess they could buy a company like Alchemy, a lot of good expertise there, but that would likely be expensive..
