and when China becomes an export powerhouse due to low labor costs, we will enjoy the increased royalties of 7.65% (I believe) on their exports.

Export powerhouse due to low labor costs means $50 dollars CDMA phones..
Depends on whether you think 7.65% of a $50 phone is better than 5% of a $150 dollar phone?

Did you notice when the Koreans were complaining about the Chinese royalty rates,

Of course they were complaining.. Because they had a "most favored rate" deal with Qualcomm.. And they feel that Qualcomm has "reniged" on that agreement. Next thing you know.. The Romainian's will get a 2.5% domestic royalty rate for 450Mhz phones, but will agree to a 40% royalty for all exports to Antartica. And Qualcomm will offer the same deal to the Koreans!! And I thought I read somewhere that even the Chinese were complaining about the 2.5% rate?

Irwin negotiated a WIN-WIN agreement with the Chinese, which from my experience is
very difficult to do.

Form others experience.. I have heard that a WIN-WIN agreement with the Chinese counts when you have their money in your pocket.

Geez pc, this negative attitude of yours (or is that your's) is beginning to get to me...

Don't think it is really my adittude that is bothering you.. Probaly just what the calculator tells you the answer is when you put in the data!

And so it goes,
