That could be true Victor. But the current account does not lie about how we are financing our lifestyles. I just spent two weeks in China -- it always surprises me to see the startling rate of growth and progress there -- and they say about 25% of what they make (and by the way they lend it to us to spend), which gives them a sharp edge over us in the capital accumulation game. They are starting from a low level, but they are moving up fast. At current rates of growth, the urban population in China will double in the next ten years.
