Victor: The Japanese have far more serious problems than saving too much. The Chinese would not be able to finance their booming economy -- growing at 7% per year -- with their savings rate. They even have a little left over to help us out.

victor, those who do not understand history are doomed to repeat it.

there is a reason japan saves so much NOW. they used to pay waaaaaaaaay too much money for things - especially real estate.

is it b/c they learned the go go days of "printed prosperity" are not real? remember, they had their time in the spotlight. remember the "japanese miracle?"
