I posted this:

If an atheist is in a Spanish speaking country and someone says, "Vaya con Dios", "Dios te bendiga", or any one of a number of things
using the word Dios should the atheist take offense and feel someone is trying to ran GOD down their throats? IMO a proper reaction
would be to say, Gracias and continue with whatever one was going to do, without getting upset at all.

You replied:

George, this has gone too far, if you folks want to impose your beliefs on the world, go for it. It is a sad day that all of you are so
selfish and insensitive that you must cram your beliefs down everyone's throat and then justify why that is good

I asked a question and gave my opinion. Still waiting for your reply. BTW I am against prayer in public schools and I would not feel comfortable using a greeting from one religious faith on a person who I did not know shared the belief. The fact is however that I take no offense when someone else assumes I share their beliefs. In no way do i feel they are trying to ram their beliefs down my throat.

I used an example of a Spanish speaking country since many common phrases incorporate "Dios". One would go crazy if one took offense at this each time it occurred. which Spanish speaking country did you live in?
