Yeah, I thought I was watching a European soccer game. -g- It was pretty shocking to see that ref, after saying nothing for 5 minutes, suddenly announce "Game Over". I was glad to hear those bottles they sell at the stadium were plastic. I'm sure a few glass ones were snuck in and thrown on the field, but not the majority. I heard the NFL director of officiating, and he was defending the refs, of course. My real beef with the refs was that they didn't communicate the situation to the fans. They should be punished for that, since the NFL explicitly made better communications with the fans a goal for the refs this season.

Ten cent beer night and Chicago's infamous "Disco Demolition Night" at the old Comiskey Park were the two biggest drunken fan debacles in baseball in the 70's. I dunno what happened to the Cleveland promo director, but the Chicago deejay who thought up Disco Demolition Night is still on the air and often reminisces with his listeners about that event.
