As soon as there was an opportunity to take over a failed business and make money, Bombardier stopped touting OCP. All the people with broken Ficht engines probably don't care though. Don't forget, after OMC launched the improved "Ram" version of Ficht, all the fires started. From failures to fires doesn't instill confidence. Ficht owners spend their time on the water WORRYING while OptiMax owners are enjoying themselves.

GM claims to have a renewed commitment to engine technology:

Anyone interested in a BMW M3 isn't even going to look at a Catera. If GM doesn't realize this, no wonder they keep making marketing mistakes. From my observations in traffic the current Catera buyer appears to be the AARP crowd.
