Thanks Katherine, also for the link to that book. It is sort of a Catch-22 for tech companies it seems. As investors we need to need to know when to move on. Long term buy and hold just doesn't seem to apply that well to tech stocks. However, if long term is defined as 10 years, then many have qualified, looking back at least. I would love to just park my money long term in some great tech stocks, but only a few come to mind that seem safe enough for that. AMAT is one of them I think. Right now, however, I am hoping some smaller cap tech stocks will rebound more in the short run. AMAT is still my number one holding.
