Dershowitz is full of it. Bin Laden's admission of guilt is very strong evidence of guilt. I would say that it's conclusive evidence of guilt, unless the person is one of those whackos who confesses crimes that he could not possibly have committed, and we know that bin Laden had motive, means and opportunity to commit this crime, and that he has been found guilty of committing similar crimes.

If bin Laden tried to weasel out of his admissions at a trial, the jury would have to believe he was lying then but telling the truth to them at trial. That's a tough row to hoe.
