Fed adds $1.466 bln via US Treasury coupon pass

NEW YORK, Dec 17 (Reuters) - The Federal Reserve said on Monday it added $1.466 billion in permanent banking reserves through its purchase of U.S. Treasury coupons dated Feb. 15, 2002 through June 30, 2002 on the open market.

Delivery was set for Tuesday.

Federal funds were trading at 1.875 percent in morning trade, above the Fed's 1.75 percent target for the rate.
