I still haven't seen "O Brother Where Art Thou", which is a movie from last year, I think. It has been so long since I have seen "The Good Earth", I cannot comment.

I thought "The Score" was fabulous, actually, the most intelligent, taut, well- acted, well- directed crime movie I had seen in a long time, perhaps ever. Edward Norton finally lived up to his reputation, and did a stunningly nuanced job pretending to be retarded and spastic. In itself, it was a sensitive portrait of a handicapped person; in context, it was brilliantly devious. De Niro has mellowed into a richer, more flavorful version of himself, and matched Norton, who had the scene- stealing role, with sheer concentrated presence. Brando was the most natural he has ever been, no longer the "mumbler", and was finally properly matched with De Niro, two greats at last in the same frame, achieving every nuance of the scene........
