Albert, I get it. AMD is writing off existing fab deprecation as expenses. But AMD isn't spending as much money on cap ex yet, which is why they have a positive cash flow. (EDIT: If what Windsock was saying is true, then AMD really didn't have a positive cash flow.)

Either way, AMD is reporting losses for last quarter, this quarter, and likely next quarter as well. That means their current fabs aren't producing enough revenue to offset the deprecation, i.e. AMD isn't making back the money they spent in the past. (At least they aren't right now, though they were back in the quarters they were reporting profits.)

So talking about net positive cash flow in the face of negative profits is irrelevant, in my view.
