You may wish to review ffrf.org on that topic. Every scripture has its puzzling and contradictory passages which outsiders point to and which believers gloss over or otherwise forgive.

"God is not the author of confusion," (I Corinthians 14:33), yet never has a book produced more confusion than the bible! There are hundreds of denominations and sects, all using the "inspired Scriptures" to prove their conflicting doctrines
