What about the death of the Apostle John in ad 98? Wouldn't he have been taken in 70 ad?

Santi, Since I was not taught the futuristic view as a child, but came to it by reading scripture, I didn't feel like I had to rebel against anything.

While I see some merit in the preterist position, I have to reject it because it does not allow for the physical bodily return of Christ to this earth as promised in scripture. If the return of Christ can be so easily "spiritualized" then why can't his physical bodily resurrection as well? This is in fact what most of liberal Christianity has done. It's no wonder that the preterist view is also the predominant view among these same Christ rejecting liberals.

Scripture says; "Every eye shall see Him" when He returns. Did every eye see Him in 70 ad?
