Sportsman - you are right about the storage figures today - what I think you want to keep in mind is that drilling has tailed off in a big way, and that depletion is around 15% given normal usage. For example, in NE Alberta Rio and AEC usually drill around 300 wells each, and this year they are drilling 30 - 40 wells each in the area. NE Alberta is primarily shallow gas with some liquids, and drilling success is usually quite high. Also in the area is bitumen. The slowdown hasn't really shown up in the prices of the drillers as of yet, but I'm sure another quarter or so and things will start to crumble for them - they usually lag 6 months behind the rest of the sector.

Hasn't been much discussion here on RSH.UN. This was a seismic data company that converted into a trust. It has done so poorly (March 2001 $6.00 now down to 2.15 ) that Pulse Data is now buying them out ) . We should all be careful with these new trusts as what they promise and what they can deliver may not exactly be the same. I think this is the reason that some of the older trusts are holding up so well - they have an established track record and have lived thru a downturn or two.

Merry Xmas to all but one - for the Grinch a piece of coal he can double down on.

Mark
