there is no clear "clear" definition of the monopoly. No one (short of government or government / private) has an absolute monopoly.
re: If I interpret your statement correctly, you do consider Intel a monopoly, right?
here is a loaded question :-)) , I do not consider Intel as an absolute monopoly. MS is not an absolute monopoly either.
Both Intel and MS have too much market control for fair competition and I loosely define it as a monopoly.
