Rresponse to Mishedlo: <<What stocks are in your portfolio?>>

I took profits (partial) earlier this month and am 50% cash, 25% QQQ, and 25% IWO, and ETF that tracks the small-cap growth stocks. Some comments on my investing (FWIW):

1. As with Zeev, I do not short stocks. I am very unskilled at it and find that selecting the correct stock at the right time is asking too much of me. It is difficult to get both correct at the same time.

2. I do not buy individual stocks and trade in and out of various index funds using the ProFunds family of funds. While I do not get the staggering gains Zeev, Larry D., and others have enjoyed with the Q's, I avoid the "big hits". At appropriate times, I will use the leveraged ProFunds to enhance return. However, these have to be fairly "obvious" investment opportunities -- if such a thing exists.

Regardless of whether this is a bull or bear market, I am hoping for another 10-15% on both the Nasdaq and small-cap index over the next 4-6 weeks. If that materializes, I will take additional profits or move completely to the sidelines.

While I do not think we will retest the lows in 2002, I think there will be a good opportunity to short the Nasdaq sometime between March to June. I agree with Zeev that Q3 and Q4 will be strong in 2002, assuming the economic forecasts I believe in are correct. Obviously, I will "listen to the market" as it evolves in 2002; however, it doesn't hurt to think ahead a bit further. Just my guess, anyway.
